The chicken was amazing!
This week is Spiritual Emphasis Week. The MC team is focusing in on the thing that matters most, our spiritual health. It kicked off yesterday with a sandwich making project that we partnered with Church of the Harvest on. Every Monday a group of people from Church of the Harvest make and take sandwiches to the mission downtown where they pass them out to the homeless community of Oklahoma City. Yesterday afternoon half of our team made sandwiches and then the other half took the sandwiches and passed them out. It was really cool to see the team come together for a purpose bigger than our own entertainment. Then, we all had dinner together while watching the Chronicles of Narnia(the chicken was amazing, by the way...thanks, Zack!). Some of us were doing more than just watching the movie, like studying for scripture test, reading a book, or writing a paper that we were assigned. It was just nice to all be together. Then, around ten, we had a small worship service. Tiffany was playing the guitar, and we were all just worshiping our God. I was overwhelmed by the thought of just how good God is. He's brought us out of our old life and placed us in a better life that we live simply to show how great our God truly is. Then this morning we've had three really good classes. Pastor Jason taught us about how obedience is better than sacrifice. Then Patty Harriman shared with us on generational curses. We just got done with another class with Pastor Travis on being rooted in our beliefs. I think it's cool how three people that used to be in our shoes, can stand before us and teach us. What I mean is that all of the three people that taught this morning are former Master's graduates. This week is really shaping up to be more than amazing. I hope you all have the same experience. Much Love!
